Ranks all wrestlers across all eras by number of tournament championships (the sum of each tournament's champion flag). Use the division tab to filter championships by division (Makuuchi, Juryo, etc).

Ranks all-time counts of kinboshi — bouts (excluding playoffs) where a rank-and-file Makuuchi wrestler defeated a Yokozuna.

Shows the longest all-time winning streaks (playoffs excluded) across all wrestlers and eras.

Shows the longest all-time streaks of consecutive tournaments spent in the division selected in the division tab (Makuuchi, Juryo, etc), across all wrestlers and eras. A move to another division or a gap in the record ends the streak.

Shows how often each winning technique (kimarite) was used when a smaller wrestler — at least 15cm shorter or 30kg lighter than their opponent — won the bout, along with its share of those upsets.

Ranks all-time pairs of wrestlers by how many times they have faced each other.

For Makuuchi and Juryo (15-day tournaments), shows how often winning or losing on Day 1 or Nakabi (day 8, the tournament's middle day) led to a final kachikoshi (winning record, 8+ wins). The "Day 1 loss" and "Nakabi loss" rates represent a comeback rate. It also shows how often a wrestler tied at 7 wins, 7 losses through day 14 went on to win on Senshuraku (the tournament's final day, day 15).

For all wrestlers and eras in the division selected in the division tab (Makuuchi, Juryo, etc), shows the combinations of a tournament's win count and the rank change at the next tournament, with bubble size representing how often each combination occurred. Hover a bubble to see the average rank change for that win count.

For the division selected in the division tab (Makuuchi, Juryo, etc.), compares wrestlers who fought every bout of the most recently completed tournament against the historical average win rate of everyone who has ever held that exact rank (based on tournaments with full attendance only). Sorted by the gap (actual minus historical average), highest first, to surface wrestlers outperforming what their rank would predict. Ranks with too little historical data are excluded.

Ranks the biggest comebacks of all time: wrestlers who fell all the way to Sandanme or below (Sandanme, Jonidan, or Jonokuchi) and later fought their way back to Makuuchi, sorted by "comeback strength" (the gap between their lowest rank and the Makuuchi rank they returned to). Only each wrestler's single deepest fall-and-return is counted.

#1: Ura Kazuki's rank history

Shows the 20 wrestlers who needed the fewest tournaments from their debut to reach Makuuchi (their first tournament in the top division) and to reach sanyaku (their first tournament at Komusubi or above), in separate rankings. The debut tournament itself counts as the first tournament. Wrestlers who were already Juryo or above in their earliest record (no Jonokuchi-through-Makushita records on file), and wrestlers whose earliest recorded tournament falls shortly after this site's data collection began (likely debuted earlier than our records go back), are excluded.

Across all wrestlers and all time, shows the number of tournaments it took to reach Makuuchi for the first time after a wrestler's earliest recorded tournament, in two lists: "Fastest Rise" and "Longest Climb to Makuuchi". Wrestlers who were already Juryo or Makuuchi at their earliest recorded tournament (no Jonokuchi-through-Makushita records on file), wrestlers whose earliest recorded tournament falls shortly after this site's data collection began (likely debuted earlier than our records go back), and wrestlers who never reached Makuuchi are all excluded.

Groups wrestlers by stable, and ranks stables by the average number of tournaments it took those wrestlers to reach Juryo (sekitori status). Wrestlers with no stable ever recorded, wrestlers who were already Juryo or above at their earliest recorded tournament (no Jonokuchi-through-Makushita records on file), wrestlers whose earliest recorded tournament falls shortly after this site's data collection began (likely debuted earlier than our records go back), and stables with no wrestlers who reached Juryo are all excluded.

Shows how often each winning technique (kimarite) has been used across all divisions and eras, along with its share of all bouts.

Ranks all-time wrestler-and-kimarite pairs by win count, showing which technique each wrestler relies on most.

Shows how often each winning technique (kimarite) was used within the division selected in the division tab (Makuuchi, Juryo, etc), along with its share of bouts in that division. Use it to compare technique tendencies across divisions.

Shows the tournament-by-tournament trend in average height and weight of Makuuchi wrestlers, and win rate by weight bracket.

Ranks active wrestlers by current age, calculated from their date of birth.
